My 12 year old granddaughter brings her DS lite over to my house and can play on it for hours - I asked her what it does and she showed me a game where you have to add or subtract numbers and you get a score at the end - which can make you feel either very pleased with your prowess as a arithmatic genius or basically a bit of a dunce. What this game does do, is to make you want to play it again and again until you increase your score - it becomes very addictive. But at my age (over 60) it can help exercise the old grey matter, which can only be a good thing - it's great for all age groups though, and there are lots of other games to opt for and to improve your stats on.

Can DS Lites Become Addictive?

In all honesty, I think that Ds lites can become addictive.

It's all about the challenge of being able to answer the questions quickly and improving your scores. It can get so bad, that you don't want to put the DS Lite down until you see your marks getting better.

I am 62 years old and I think it's important to keep the old grey matter in good order, and the DS Lite is an ideal piece of tackle to do just that.

They make the DS Lite in several colours to appeal to everyone's taste, and there are different games to play -Braintraining is good and you can even get the complete works of famous authors such as Dickens etc, which is great for students because they dont have to buy lots of books and cart them around with them.

I am trying to get my husband into DS Lite's - I think I shall get him one for his birthday.

Great For Brain Training

Recently, my Granddaughter let me have a try on her DS Lite - I had often watched her using it for hours at a time and wondered why she enjoyed it so much.

I have to say that it can become addictive because you want to keep on improving your scores and rising to the challenge. It brings out the competitiveness in a person.

The age gap between me ( I am 62) and my Grand daughter (11) makes absolutely no difference whatsoever - the DS lite has all sorts of games and challenges for all age groups.

For all those readers of classic books written by the likes of Shakespeare, Dickens, etc, can now have them all on their DS Lite to read whenever they like, without having to cart around heavy books - this could also be very useful for students of the Classics at University - it will also be more cost effective than buying individual books.

There is no doubt that the DS Lite is a very versatile console and will be popular for a very long time with all age groups.
