Having a go on my granddaughters DS Lite can become addictive, it's very hard to put down once you get the hang of the games.

There are loads of different games to try, and improving your score each time you play is the main aim. I personally like the arithmetic games, where you have to quickly add or subtract - it certainly makes you focus and think quickly.

The DS Lite comes in lots of different colours, and is very easy to carry because of it's size and weight. It's very good for keeping the kids busy whilst travelling on a long journey, which is especially useful because we are coming in to school holiday breaks.

Since it's release in Japan in March 2006 over 75 million of these consoles have been sold Worldwide.

I am a 62 year old woman, I enjoy doing crosswords which,I think helps keep my brain active, but it has to be said that, the Nintendo DS Lite is very versatile and enjoyable to use - it's suitable for all age groups.

My 12 year old granddaughter brings her DS lite over to my house and can play on it for hours - I asked her what it does and she showed me a game where you have to add or subtract numbers and you get a score at the end - which can make you feel either very pleased with your prowess as a arithmatic genius or basically a bit of a dunce. What this game does do, is to make you want to play it again and again until you increase your score - it becomes very addictive. But at my age (over 60) it can help exercise the old grey matter, which can only be a good thing - it's great for all age groups though, and there are lots of other games to opt for and to improve your stats on.
